ADJECTIVE
ADJECTIVE
Adjectives are used to describe or provide more information about a Noun or a Pronoun.
There are ten kinds of Adjective —
1. Adjective of Quality
2. Adjective of Quantity
3. Adjective of Number / Numeral Adjective
4. Demonstrative Adjective
5. Possessive Adjective
6. Distributive Adjective
7. Interrogative Adjective
8. Proper Adjective
9. Emphasizing Adjective
10. Exclamatory Adjective
1. Adjective of Quality
An Adjective of Quality is used to show quality of a person(s) or thing(s).
e.g. :- good, black, fat, kind etc
Sentence :- He is a good student.
2. Adjective of Quantity
An Adjective of Quantity is used to show quantity of thing(s).
e.g. :- little, much, no, some etc
Sentence :- The baby had drunk much water.
e.g. :- little, much, no, some etc
Sentence :- The baby had drunk much water.
3. Adjective of Number / Numeral Adjective
Adjective of Number is used to show how many person(s) or thing(s) are there or in what order they stand.
note :- Adj. Of Number is divided into three parts
(i) Definite
Definite is also divided into two parts
(a) Cardinals :- one, two, three, four etc
(b) Ordinals :- first, second third, fifth etc

4. Possessive Adjective
Possessive Adjectives are used to show possession or relation.
e.g. :- My, Our, Your, His, Her, Its, Their
Sentecnce :- This is my pen.
e.g. :- My, Our, Your, His, Her, Its, Their

5. Demonstrative Adjective
Demonstrative Adjectives are used to indicate person(s) or thing(s).
e.g. :- This, That, These, Those
Sentence :- This pen is mine.
e.g. :- This, That, These, Those
Sentence :- This pen is mine.
6. Distributive Adjective
Distributive Adjectives are used to refer each individuals member of a class.
note :- With distributive adjectives always a singular noun and a singular verb should be used
e.g. :- Each, Every, Either, Neither
Sentence :- Each student has a bag.
e.g. :- Each, Every, Either, Neither

7. Interrogative Adjective
Interrogative Adjectives are used to ask questions.
e.g. :- What, Which, Whose
Sentence :- Which book do you want?
e.g. :- What, Which, Whose

8. Proper Adjective
An Adjective which is made from a Proper Noun is called the Proper Adjective.
e.g. :- Indian, Nepali etc

Sentence :- I am an Indian.
9. Emphasizing Adjective
An Emphasizing Adjective is used to emphasises a noun and qualifies it.
e.g. :- Own, Very, Same

Sentence :- I had seen a red Lamborghini with my own eyes.
10. Exclamatory Adjective
An Exclamatory Adjective is used to show wonders.
Or
When "What" is used as an adjective in a sentence, it is called the Exclamatory Adjective.
e.g. :- What a girl!
