A group of 26 letters from A to Z or a group of 44 sounds in English language is called "Alphabet".

Alphabet is divided into two parts.

(i) Vowel

(ii) Consonant


Vowel

Vowel is a part of alphabet in which pronunciation the parts of our mouth do not touch each other.

There are 05 vowel letters or 20 vowel sounds in English.

Consonant is a part of alphabet in which pronunciation the parts of our mouth touch each other.

There are 21 consonant letters or 24 consonant sounds in English.
